This blog set the question: Are You the Hundredth Monkey?

Comments to the initial post "What's Up With That?" give wonderful examples of what that might look like.

The New Year has begun. The Hundredth Monkey has abundant opportunity to be heard...to be seen..to make a difference - any difference that makes the world brighter, holier, more sane.

What does that look like for you?

Words That Work

Words That Work

Words that work on us - words to 'work out' with - words that can deepen us on the issue of belonging...and asking the question "who are we?"

If I am not for myself, who will be for me?

If I am only for myself, what am I?

If not now, when?

These are the words of Rev Ken Beldon in a juicy sermon quoting Rabbi Hillel who lived 2,000 years ago.  You sure don't need to be religious, organized or opinionated to recognize perfect territory for The Hundredth Monkey.

Do yourself the favor and listen to the podcast!

Can Words Make the Difference?

It is challenging to examine our habits in terms of the words we use to express ourselves, but it is also exciting. Language is an area where we can exercise our free will, creating positive change in the world around us by simply choosing carefully the words we use.
"Choose to be more conscious of the words and phrases you use in everyday life as words have power."
It may seem like a small thing, but our words have a rippling effect, like a stone thrown in a pond... we don’t need to actively try to influence people; it happens without our even thinking about it. All we have to do is choose to be more conscious ourselves, putting to rest words and phrases that are outmoded, insensitive, or harmful. We can also exercise our creativity by creating new phrases that carry positive and loving energy to replace the old ones.
This beautiful synopsis is from www.DAILY OM
a wonderful website for conscious living.

will help you move through the emotions that are defined by the language you use.
